chocolate chip cookies and salsa

Oh yes I did!
I made chocolate chip cookies with my new turquoise kitchen aid that we just got from Alex's sweet nanna. I love that little lady!

It might just be me, but I think they might have been the most delicious cookies I have ever eaten.
It's all because we used that magic machine I'm in love with...it whipped the sugar and butter and everything else delicious until it was like whipped cream. It just looked beautiful!
And it tasted even better than it looked!
Wish you were there to have some
...NOT!! Then I would have to share. :)

Is it not the cutest thing you've ever seen?

Delicious, whipped cookie dough

Ain't he darlin'?

She's more darlin' though, right? JK JK!! ;)

My new glass "goodie display case" that I bought from Williams Sonoma.
LOVE it!

My domestic little self also made some homemade salsa (without a recipe even!)
and it turned out great!
Alejandro (I though his Spanish name would be suitable for this post haha) loved it and ate almost all of it in one sitting!
What the heck?
I guess that will have to be a treat from now on ;)

we are da honeymooners

We went to Cancun, Mexico for our honeymoon
and it was romantic, relaxing, fun, and just perfect!
...not to mention sex(y) ;)

I wouldn't have chosen any other place:
it was a beautiful, all-inclusive resort where we enjoyed several infinity pools that overlooked the warm ocean, cabanas on the sand, and virgin drinks free of charge and at my every beckoning call.
Not to mention, we had free room service open to us 24 hours of the day and three fantastic restaurants on the resort--all of it was included in our all-inclusive fee!!

Welcome to paradise!

Yeah we're models... ;)

Lookin' pretty tan, eh?

Love him!

Pina colada by the pool? Why yes, I will have one!

One of the beautiful restaurants by the ocean...

View from our balcony/deck...unbelievable right?

Martini anyone?

We did a mini day adventure where we rented a two person speedboat and then snorkeled out on a beautiful reef--we saw a nurf shark, some baracuda, tons of fish, a sea star!

Alex was in heaven driving that boat!

I got to drive the speedboat--fast and fun!

On our last night, one of the restaurant waiters asked us if we were celebrating anything and we said our honeymoon. At the end of our meal, they brought us out this extravagant chocolate fudge dessert that said "Happy Honey Moon"...well actually honey was spelled wrong and it looks like moon is spelled moan. "happy honney moan" BAHA!!

You should go to Cancun...your world will be changed! ;)

the BIG day

Yes, I got married a couple weeks ago and I'm absolutely loving it!
...besides the fact that life is expensive. Ugh.

August 13 came and went so fast and I honestly can't believe everything that has happened
Everyone that I loved and cared about so much came and attended the wedding or reception
and Alex and I were were so lucky to have the love and support that we have.
...but I wish we could have seen these people more. I feel like I only got to see everyone for five minutes. :(

While I don't have a ton of pictures from the wedding yet (and I will be sure to post them as soon as I get them), here are a few taken from the wedding and reception:

...but i will be 21 in two short months. yes!

I'll post about the BIG DAY and our surreal honeymoon in a couple days,
but for now Alex and I are enjoying some time with our families in good 'ole Oregon.
I love it here...especially Saturday Market. :)
Take it easy, you guys!

sneak peek

She and Him got their pictures taken today at Laguna Beach.
Alex looked absolutely gorgeous
...if i do say so myself.
While I don't have any of the pictures back just yet from Mollie, our photographer, Jess tagged along (she did my hair so beautifully!!!) and took some of her own pictures.
I think they're pretty good. Like 'em?

Just wait, there are many more to come!! :)

Can you even believe Jess? She's beautiful, super nice, talented, and good at taking pictures and making my hair look pretty? What is this?

sunday morning omelette

Saturday night I picked up a dear friend from the airport who flew out for my wedding.
She is absolutely stunning, smart, skilled at hair and fashion, optimistic
...and everything good in life.

Her name is Jess.
She introduced me to a new omelette with feta cheese in it
...and bacon, yellow peppers, cilantro, avocado, and cheddar cheese.

It was absolutely mind- blowingly good!

You have to try it!

Start by adding your turkey bacon, feta cheese, and cheddar cheese.

Add the AVOCADO (so good) and yellow peppers

Voila! You have a delicious omelette!!

Aubrey Smith turns 20!

Yes, it is true.
Aubrey has indeed turned 20...finally.
So we celebrated at the beach with kayaking, a firepit, roasted hotdots, smores, and fireworks.
So. much. fun.

Happy Birthday Aubrey Smith!
I'm so excited you've joined the decade of your twenties.
It should be a roller coaster and hopefully we will always live close to each other so we can enjoy the ride together!!
