dancing makes you younger...

Sweet youtube video.

I don't know how he does it, but I am jealous.

I cannot dance. Unfortunately.

I'll work on that...my next project. haha

It's all real...when he's doing the slowmo, you can watch the cars' reflections.
I know, insane.

Watch 4:12....it's the coolest!

Have a good friday everyone!

let's go fish-tailin'!! (a hairdo)

Thanks to my lovely and overused pinterest,
I found a new hairstyle that I was bold enough to try this morning.
(by the way my "pin it" button isn't working...anyone know how to fix it?)

And it worked!!
And I love it.

It's called a fishtail braid, which I have done manyatimes,
but today I did a half up/half down style with a fishtail braid!

So...

First pull your hair back into a half up/down style. It should look similar to this from the side.

And it will look like this from the front...

Then you will fish tail braid the "half up" part.
I put the "half down" part in a ponytail when I was braiding the top to keep the hair from getting in the way.

"How to" from pinterest :)

It looks a little crooked in this picture....i swear it's not. Actually it probably is. haha

Voila! The final project.

It is fun to try new things with your hair.
You should try it!!

pizza and a concert

Last night we went out with Jaycee and Bill to California Pizza Kitchen.
Yum.
I ordered what I order every time--the BLT pizza on honeywheat dough.
Sounds a little weird, but still so delicious. You need to try it! All of you!
(Oh yeah,, Jimmer was at CPK sitting about 20 feet from us. Magical.)
After dinner, we went to a small Kalai concert in a high school gym.
I didn't really know him and didn't really listen to any of his music except for a select few songs, but Alex and Jaycee's husband really love him so we all went together.

Let me just tell you, he is INCREDIBLE and so funny!
I felt like I was at a stand up comedy club with great music and talent intertwined.
His guitar skills alone would blow anyone out of the water, but then on top of that he has a voice range that is mind-blowing as well.

He was so good and I am definitely a fan now.
Really great entertainer and you should check him out on itunes and youtube.
For now though, here are some videos for your enjoyment:

LISTEN TO THIS! Insane on the guitar...

"On my mind"

Sorry the videos cut out some...but they're totes worth the frustration ;)

a wedding to remember

I just love weddings.
I love everything about them
...beautiful decorations, yummy food, happy families, dancing, cake cutting, flower throwing,
and most importantly the bride and groom that are just so happy and so in love.

It is so fun to just watch the happy couple on their special day because it really is the
BEST DAY EVER!
I would know since I just barely got married. :)
(I already tell Alex that I want us to get married again because it was such a great and happy day!)

It is such a joyous day
and you honestly just can't keep your hands off of each other
...not because of the reason I know you all are thinking...
because you just have so much love for the person and you just want to be with them.

We met Jaycee and her husband Bill through Lindsey and Ben (kinda) and now we're best friends!!

Me and my stylish and very handsome husband.

The beautiful bride and her husband greeting guests.

Bill and Alex with the Groom.

The girls with the bride.

the beautiful cake...

They had some kids playing the whole time. Beautiful.

Their wedding was country themed: they served all sorts of pies with whipped cream and the favors were cans of jam. So cute and creative!

Chattin' it up with Jaycee and Bill--mine and Alex's "date" for the night.

They were nice to each other...

Lindsey's dad finds all of these bottles and collects them. They had them all strung around the roof edge of the house. Lovely.

First dance.

Sparklers!!

They left in a horse drawn carriage. So romantic.

Alex and I are so happy for Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Neff
and we wish them a long and happy life together filled with much love, joy, and happiness.
Oh and lots of fun!! We love you guys!!

P.S. You're reception was absolutely beautiful.

shave ice

Sumo's shave ice shack

typical...

It's my favorite.
Especially on my home island O'ahu.
But we did find a little shack here in good ole' Provo and it was surprisingly delicious!
And not just a snow cone.

It was just a beautiful night so we decided to go up to the Y and watch the sunset and eat our shave ice (with ice cream and cream on top) on the trunk of our car.
It was just lovely.
You should try it.
Well have a good thursday evening!

Is this for real?

Here is a very unusual engagement photo shoot, right?

I guess they have an obsession with zombies, eh?
Weird, but kinda cool. (Not gonna lie.)
I mean I don't know if I would want these hanging up in my house for the rest of my life,
but hey! Whatever floats your boat, right?
