Yoga
A couple of days ago, I went to a Relief Society Yoga evening and I loved it!!
It was so different from my usual running that I do every day and I really felt like I got a good, but different workout.
My legs--which are in shape from running 5 miles a day--were shaky, my hair was wet with sweat, and my shoulder muscles burned.
And I loved every second of it!
So after our little meeting, I looked up some yoga videos on Exercisetv.com which offers free full workout videos and found this one.
It is a Yoga Sculpt video and it is awesome!!
You get a great workout and I have been doing it every morning for my morning workout (you know, pre-wedding two-a-days right now haha)
You should try it because I guarantee you'll work up a sweat and gain flexibility!!
Swimsuit--or perhaps lingerie-- body here you come!! ;)

sleeping
Do you ever think about different things in life and lose your mind? I do it all the time and I don’t know if it’s normal or not (haha maybe I shouldn’t be sharing this with you?) Like sometimes—mostly when I’m driving—I think about how we, all of us here on this earth, probably look ridiculous to the man upstairs. We wake up, we eat breakfast, we go to school or work or run errands, we come home, we talk with our family or friends, we eat dinner, then we go to sleep and do it for the most part all over again. We have religion and politic,s and we go to the gym. We have these animals that were once wild that are now tame and we keep them as pets. When we are pregnant, we have large bumps where our flat stomachs used to be because we actually have something growing. Can you believe that? I don’t know? I think of it as sometimes as me looking down on a colony of ants and then I think: do they have an actor- turned- politician running for president and a mother struggling to control her three children in the gathering food field? No. No they probably do not. But it’s fun to think about.
Anywho, this morning—after waking up for the four or fifth time because the dog I am dog sitting either barked at me, was crying, wanted to leave the room etc.—I was looking at my brother who was asleep next to me, and I was thinking about how weird sleeping is and the fact that our body needs to sleep. I’ve thought about the bizarre-ness of sleeping before and always think of the zombies in “I Am Legend” where they’re in a circle and…just asleep. It’s weird that our body, after a long day, can just go into a coma and sleep for 8 or more hours—with no food, no water, no having to use the bathroom (for most of us haha), and no entertainment. We just sleep. Ok. This is officially a weird post. Sorry about that. Haha
And then, looking at my brother with his back to me, I thought about in just one short month I will be sharing my bed with Alex for the rest of my life! Whoa. We might need to make some adjustments. Juuuuuuust kidding. I love you Alex and we will make accomadations if you do in deed snore…I will give you a tranquilizer and plug your nose with a clothes pin. juuuuuuuust kidding for real this time. Haha I love you Alejandro! ;)
And speaking of sleeping...you should check out this "Sleeping Asians in the Library" blog. It's pretty darn funny.
